I am pleased to announce the members of the elected Research and Public Service Professional (RPSP-UAW) bargaining team. You can see the certified results here.

RPSPs must now prepare to stand together to win a fair contract and strengthen the UC.

The bargaining committee members are:

Next Steps

  • Grow our network of informed RPSPs by joining a Contract Action Team!
  • Draft the initial bargaining demands (IBDs).
    • Now that we have elected the bargaining team, they will use the results from the bargaining survey, townhalls, and countless one-on-one conversations to draft our initial bargaining demands. IBDs are a broad set of initial demands that will set a framework for the bargaining team’s specific proposals.
  • Gather at town halls to discuss the initial bargaining demands.
    • In the coming weeks, multiple town halls will be organized where we will discuss our strategy and the IBDs before we vote to ratify, so that we all have a chance to ask questions and share feedback. RSVPs will be sent out soon.
  • Vote to ratify the initial bargaining demands.
    • An online vote will be held at the end of this month where ballots will be sent out over email. The more of us who ratify the IBDs to show UC we are engaged, the more power we will have in negotiations.

By standing together, we have the strength to secure a contract that values our contributions, improves our daily lives, and ensures fair conditions at UC.

In solidarity,
