I manage research projects on safety net benefits and impacts on other outcomes, such as health, finances, and the criminal legal system and work with our government partners to ensure our research is policy relevant. Outside of work, I spend time with friends and family, read, watch TV, try to learn to cook and every so often, make it to a workout class.
At work, I’m a data scientist conducting research to end homelessness at the UCSF Benioff Homelessness and Housing Initiative. Outside of work, I enjoy weightlifting, woodworking, and obsessing over my two large feline sons Augustus and Red.
I work at the School of Medicine in the Global Public Health & Infectious Diseases. My research focuses the ever evolving praxis of social-behavioral interventions to address HIV Syndemics and the state & federal policies that lead to varied health outcomes for sexual and gender minorities. To remain balanced, I play tennis, practice perfecting Creole recipes, and spend time with my little ones, Beaux + Arrow.
I work at UCSD’s Scripps Institution of Oceanography doing hydroacoustic and oceanographic data analysis. The research in my lab helps us understand things like how sound travels through the oceans, how the oceans change over time, and physical oceanographic processes like nonlinear internal waves. Much of my free time is spent on activities I’m passionate about like singing and playing guitar, playing beach volleyball, live music, and political activism.
I work in the Department of Plant Pathology at UC Davis, where I coordinate and conduct research on methods to exclude pests like invasive fruit flies, spotted lanternfly, and pink hibiscus mealybug from California agriculture. In my personal life, I love to backpack in the Sierras, lift weights, do crosswords, fight climate change through community action, and hang out with my partner, friends, and cats.
I run a microscopy core where I get to help talented scientists generate beautiful images of cells, tissues, and even whole organs. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking and exploring SF. I’m also a music enthusiast and love going to see local shows all over the city.
I work at UCB Social Welfare on the admin operations team. I work on student HR, scheduling, and policy development. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, baking, and hanging out at home with my partner and our two cats named Ace and Luna.
