On August 18th you will receive a ballot to your UC email where you will have the chance to vote to form your union, Research & Public Service Professionals-UAW, alongside over 7,500 of your UC coworkers. Be on the lookout for an election announcement from UC, which they also posted on their website! In order to move to the bargaining table quickly alongside 41,000 other UC-UAW workers building power to create a stronger UC, a majority of RPSPs need to vote yes on August 18th.
To democratically decide what issues RPSPs will focus on at the bargaining table—beginning as early as this fall—it’s critical that all of us weigh in on our priorities and are ready to vote Yes on August 18th. Will you join the majority by taking five minutes to fill out the survey and share the link with your coworkers?
In order to win on RPSPs’ collective priorities, it’s important that a majority of us are ready to vote yes on Day 1 of our election, August 18th. The more of us who vote yes, the more power we’ll have to win the changes RPSPs want to see in our workplace when we negotiate with UC at the bargaining table. Are you planning to vote yes?
