As a reminder, Research and Public Service Professionals (RPSPs) are coming together at a town hall on Zoom this coming Tuesday, June 17th 12pm to review and prepare for the coming election to form our union. It will be an opportunity to learn how the election process works, what’s at stake, and how we can make sure that a clear majority of us vote and demonstrate a united vision to make progress at the bargaining table with UC.
Please RSVP to attend the Town Hall.
Additionally if you are impacted by NIH funding cancellations, please take a few moments to fill out this form before it closes at 8pm today. The union we are joining, UAW, is one of the plaintiffs in a case filed in federal court by the ACLU that is challenging NIH grant cancellations and is seeking to reverse the termination of NIH grants (both termination of individual grants/fellowships, including R01, K99/R00, F31, F32 and T32, and termination of grant programs, such as IRACDA or PREP) or grant applications that were delayed without answer or administratively withdrawn by NIH. It is possible that the judge may only act on grants/applications that are reported by the plaintiffs, so if you have been impacted, it’s critical that you fill out this form so that our voices can be heard.
We hope that you can join us at next week’s town hall!
