After thousands of our colleagues voted to form Research and Public Service Professionals-UAW (RPSP-UAW) last month, we are moving forward to negotiate with UC leadership and strengthen the University in the face of urgent challenges.
To strengthen our position at the bargaining table, RPSPs will be voting to ratify our “Initial Bargaining Demands,” which represent the broad priorities of RPSPs as determined through thousands of conversations and surveys. View the demands drafted by the bargaining team here. The vote to ratify these demands will be held over Oct 21-28. Ballots will be sent out over email and posted on the website homepage as well. The more RPSPs voting to ratify these demands, the more unity and power we can demonstrate to the university as we begin negotiations.
RPSPs are organizing a series of town halls to discuss our initial bargaining demands and plans to build a strong campaign around them. They will be held on Zoom at the following times:
- Tuesday, 10/21 at 12pm PST
- Wednesday, 10/22 at 12pm PST
- Thursday, 10/23 at 5pm PST
